UGREEN CM210 (50923) RJ45 Ethernet Splitter Adapter 2-Pack Overview

The UGREEN CM210 (50923) RJ45 Ethernet Splitter Adapter 2-Pack is a passive networking solution designed to carry two separate Fast Ethernet connections through a single compatible network cable run. The package includes two adapters, with one installed at each end of the Ethernet cable.

When correctly connected, the CM210 can provide two independent network links at up to 100Mbps each. It is particularly useful where only one Cat5e or Cat6 cable has already been installed between two locations but two wired network connections are required.

Unlike an active Ethernet switch, the UGREEN CM210 does not turn one router port into two independent connections. Two separate LAN ports are required at the source side, while the splitter pair uses the four wire pairs inside a compatible Ethernet cable to carry the two network links.

Key Features

• 2-Pack Passive Splitter Set: Includes the two adapters required for a complete paired installation.
• Two 100Mbps Ethernet Links: Carries two separate Fast Ethernet connections through one suitable cable run.
• Up to 100m Transmission: Supports long-distance network transmission when used with suitable pure-copper cabling and compatible equipment.
• Cat5e and Cat6 Compatible: Suitable for common 8-core Ethernet network cabling.
• RJ45 Female Interfaces: Each unit uses standard RJ45 network connections.
• Metal Shielding: Internal shielding helps reduce signal interference and maintain stable transmission.
• ABS Housing: Compact outer casing designed for everyday network installations.
• No External Power Required: Passive operation requires no power adapter, driver, or software.

How the UGREEN CM210 Works

The two included CM210 adapters must be used together. At the source end, connect two separate LAN ports from a router or network switch to the first splitter. The splitter then connects to one compatible Ethernet cable running to the destination.

At the other end of the cable, connect the second CM210 adapter. Its two RJ45 connections separate the network paths again so they can be connected to two destination devices.

Important: The UGREEN CM210 is not a network switch, router, hub, or signal booster. Connecting only one router LAN port does not allow two devices to independently share that single network connection.

100Mbps Fast Ethernet Performance

The UGREEN CM210 supports up to 100Mbps per Ethernet connection in a properly configured paired setup. This makes it suitable for devices and applications that operate within Fast Ethernet requirements, including IPTV receivers, PCs, smart TVs, network equipment, and other compatible wired devices.

Because the splitter uses the cable’s wire pairs to carry two independent links, Gigabit Ethernet is not supported. Users who require Gigabit or higher network speeds should use appropriate active networking hardware instead.

Stable Transmission up to 100 Meters

UGREEN specifies transmission distances of up to 100 meters when the splitter pair is used with suitable pure-copper Ethernet cabling and compatible networking equipment. The internal PCB and metal shielding layer are designed to help reduce interference and maintain stable network transmission.

Actual performance can vary depending on cable quality, connector condition, cable length, network equipment, and installation environment.

Best Use Cases for the UGREEN CM210

The UGREEN CM210 is most useful where an existing Ethernet cable already runs through a wall, conduit, office, or entertainment setup and installing a second cable would be inconvenient. With two available source LAN ports, the splitter pair can carry two separate 100Mbps links through that existing cable run.

This can be useful for setups involving an IPTV receiver and another network device, two PCs, a smart TV and another Ethernet device, or similar Fast Ethernet equipment.
